Terms of Service

The Word is a brand operated by Plastiik v/Thomas Finn Larsen, a sole proprietorship registered in Denmark (CVR 21673838, VAT no. DK21673838), Mathildevej 24, 4. th., 2000 Frederiksberg, Denmark. Contact: info@thwrd.com. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “the Word” refer to this business. By visiting thwrd.com or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. Our products

Every piece is made to order - printed once, for you, after you order. Garment colours and print may vary slightly from screen to screen. Product imagery is art-directed and may include AI-generated or computer-rendered scenes; it illustrates the design and never misrepresents the garment you receive. See our Imagery statement.

2. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in the currency selected at checkout and include applicable VAT. Shipping is calculated at checkout. We may correct obvious pricing errors and decline or cancel an order affected by such an error, refunding any amount paid. Payment is taken at the time of order through the providers shown at checkout.

3. Delivery

Items are produced on demand: production typically takes 2-3 working days, and delivery normally follows within the transit times shown at checkout and on our shipping page. In all cases we deliver without undue delay and no later than 30 days after the order, unless otherwise agreed. Risk of loss or damage passes to you when you, or a carrier you appointed (other than one we offered), take physical possession of the goods.

4. Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the EU, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason. To exercise it, tell us clearly before the period ends - by email to info@thwrd.com or through our withdrawal form. You then return the goods within 14 days and bear the direct cost of return shipping; we refund within 14 days of receiving the goods or proof of return. Truly personalised items made to your own specification are excluded. Full terms, deductions for diminished value and the refund process are set out in our Returns & Right of Withdrawal policy.

5. Faulty goods and your statutory rights

Goods must match their description and be of satisfactory quality. As a consumer you have a statutory right to complain over defects for two years from delivery under the Danish Sale of Goods Act (and equivalent EU rules). If an item is faulty, flawed or not what you ordered, contact info@thwrd.com and we will repair, replace or refund as the law requires, at no cost to you. These rights stand on top of, and are never limited by, anything in these terms.

6. Intellectual property and acceptable use

All content on thwrd.com - designs, prints, text, imagery and marks - belongs to us or our licensors and may not be copied, resold or used commercially without written permission. You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to disrupt it, or use it for any unlawful purpose. You may use purchased garments for personal, non-infringing use.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under mandatory consumer-protection law. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable. Your mandatory statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.

8. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Danish law, without depriving you of the protection of mandatory rules in your country of residence. If we cannot resolve a complaint, you may contact:

• Denmark: Konkurrence- og Forbrugerstyrelsens Center for Klageløsning / Forbrugerklagenævnet, Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby - forbrug.dk.
• Germany: we are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (Verbraucherschlichtungsstelle) under the VSBG, but will always try to resolve any issue directly.

9. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time; the version in force at the time of your order applies to that order. The current version is always published here.
